What to expect/How to prepare

     The typical guided float trip with Ak Wild River Adventures covers approximately 8-10 river miles of world-class trout waters. We use a combination of fly fishing techniques including drift fishing and shore fishing. So we will have the chance to get out and fish from shore at times as well. Temps can be lower on the river bottoms, so we suggest bringing layers and a dry bag if available. You can pack your own lunch, snacks and beverages in a cooler for easy stowage and access. We can supply you with your fly rods, flies, hip boots (most common sizes), and life jackets. And you are also encouraged to bring any gear you may be more comfortable using. We also suggest you bring a rain jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent if desired, and a camera to capture those epic fish pics.
