Dave

Co-Owner/Master Guide/Adventure Wizard

In 1993 Dave started his guiding career in Minnesota's boundary waters. A few seasons later he and his lovely wife Sarah moved to Florida and owned a kayak guiding business for 10 years. In his spare time Dave has accomplished navigating the full length of the Mississippi River, the Yukon River and the Yangtze River in China as well as many remote expeditions in northern Canada. Dave and Sarah have appeared in Sports Illustrated and have toured campuses giving talks about their Wild River Adventures. Currently they spend their winters in their remote "bush" Alaska cabin, and Dave comes out in the summers to guide the local rivers and share his amazing experiences. A true river legend!

Miriam

Rafting/Fly Fishing Guide

Miriam grew up along the southern Great Lakes in Ohio. In 2005 she set out to hike the Pacific Crest Trail and completed it 5 1/2 months later. Her taste for adventure has taken her to many wild places since then, and her love for dog mushing brought her to Willow, Alaska. Miriam finished the Iditarod Trail Dog Sled Race in 2016 and accomplished a feat that only a select breed of adventurers has achieved. She is now a Rafting/Fly Fishing Guide in Willow, Alaska and she is excited to put you on trophy trout!

Willow

Rafting/Fly-Fishing Guide

Willow was born and raised in Alaska's Mat-Su Valley. She comes from a long line of rivermen and her family has had a presence on these rivers for generations. Willow is a natural on the oars and can read the river as well as any. She brings a real positive energy to our float trips. Pay attention to this kid, she's going to be a big name in fly fishing!

Fun Fact:  One of our local lakes in the Willow area is named after her grandmother Vera. It doesn't get any more Alaskan than that!

Scott

Co-Owner/River Guide/Adventure Wizard

Scott Grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula surrounded by the Great Lakes and it's tributaries where he chased steelhead, salmon and Brook trout. During his time in the service he got to fish strange waters and that was all it took. In 2004 Scott moved to Willow full-time and became deeply immersed in the upper Susitna drainages. Working the river alongside many legendary guides helped speed the learning process. After working across remote Alaska for several years he settled in to guiding in Willow full-time. Year-round resident of Willow and ready to get you on the river!
