2 Day workshop held in Willow, Alaska is for ladies that would like to know more about fly fishing and meet other gals with similar interests. Day one we cover gear, knots, and fly fishing fundamentals. We will teach casting techniques and we can practice together until we're all comfortable with the fly cast. After a break for lunch, we will move inside and learn some fly tying basics and you can tie up a few flies for the fishing trip the following day. And Day 2 we will meet at Ak Wild River Headquarters at 7:AM and head to the river for a full-day float down Willow Creek where we can put our new knowledge and flies to the test. We will provide fly rods, flies, life jackets and hip boots of most common sizes. Lodging arrangements can be made at additional costs if you're travelling from home. Please contact for details. Ak Wild River does not provide meals but some light snacks, coffee and bottled water will be available. We would suggest that you bring some raingear, sunscreen, insect repellant (if desired), lunches and any additional warm/dry clothes. The conditions can change while we're out there and it's best to be prepared. A dry container for devices and cameras is also suggested, And make sure they're charged up because you never know where the wildlife might be! We look forward to sharing our passion for fly fishing these Alaskan rivers with you!
